THE DEFENDERS

This is the main l33t team. They operate out of Defenders Tower, in Old New York (in the C.F) and various safehouses. People can get there via very secure teleporters, much like the JLA Watchtower.

THE "ILLUMINATI"

Not so much a formal superteam as a group of individuals that are secretly going behind the Defenders' backs to put precautions in place to protect the world that they know the others aren't willing to undertake, like putting a massive death laser on the remains of the old orbital Watchtower. These heroes are hiding what they're doing and sometimes are willing to even go as far as mindwiping people that find out what they're up to.

THE THUNDERBOLTS

Largely a group of fugitives, aliens, and outcasts the Thunderbolts are capable of teleportation over most of the country. Completely outside the system, they're willing to do what some other superteams aren't willing to do. However, they are tempered somewhat by the influence of the more moral among them. They work out of one of the Pride's abandoned underground villain lairs, given to them by Xavin (before she disappeared again).
